The DHI-HY-KIT1-SLVP WisuAlarm Alarm Kit for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is designed to provide additional fire and gas alarm awareness for people who may not hear a standard sounder during an emergency.
The kit uses both a bright strobe light and a vibration pad to alert occupants when a compatible WisuAlarm device is activated. This combination of visual and tactile warning helps make alarms easier to recognise, particularly during sleep or in areas where an audible alarm may not be enough.
The strobe unit is powered by mains electricity and includes a rechargeable lithium battery backup, helping maintain protection if the power supply is interrupted. The vibration pad connects directly to the strobe and can be positioned under a pillow, mattress or seat cushion for effective personal alerting.
Using wireless interconnection, the kit can be paired with compatible WisuAlarm smoke, heat, carbon monoxide and gas alarms. It supports up to 24 linked devices, so when one connected alarm is triggered, the strobe and vibration pad activate automatically.
Built-in LED indicators give a clear view of the system condition, including fire, gas, fault, power and pairing status. This makes the unit easier to check during installation, testing and routine use.
Designed for indoor applications, the alarm kit is suitable for bedrooms, hotels, care environments, hospitals, student accommodation and other settings where enhanced alarm notification may be required.
The strobe light can be wall mounted or placed free-standing, depending on the layout of the room. A one-touch self-test function is also included to support regular system checks.
The kit is compliant with BS 5446-3:2015, confirming its suitability as a fire alarm device for deaf and hard of hearing users.
